About Me
I created this company because I love clothing and fashion. I always have, ever since I was a little kid. I grew up in a place where fashion wasn’t anyone’s priority and definitely not my mother’s. As an only child, I loved going through the vintage clothes and jewelry in my grandmother’s house when I was little. As I grew up, I made bold fashion choices and I never cared what anyone thought of me doing it. That always made me stand out.
I dabbled in fashion design, but ultimately my goal was working in film and television. I was able to expand my world of fashion and knowledge through moving from St. Louis to Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. When I became a PA, my first step into the entertainment business, I ended up primarily working with cast. This allowed me to build relationships with the costume designers, on set costumers, hair and makeup departments and some very incredible talent.

I was lucky to work well with a wide variety of people and became a trusted person to work with talent in the challenging world of production. That led me to being able to find new opportunities when I left NY for LA once again to become a writer. While working toward my goal of writing and directing, I became a personal assistant for several A List singers. I was trusted to shop, make decisions… to know things about them without being told. That was a skill I developed on set and one I would continue to hone as an assistant. It was this skill of reading someone that is my specialty when it comes to styling.
Just before COVID happened, I started this company. I had completed the Warner Brothers writing program, but not been staffed on a show. I found it incredibly difficult to find work, as most potential employers would see my resume and say, ‘Well, but you’re going to be a writer any minute now.’
But that didn’t happen. So I threw myself into my other passion - clothing and fashion. I had the opportunity to dress my soon to be Showunner when she asked me if I’d do some shopping for her. It gave me a lot of joy when she kept the things I chose for her. It always brings me so much joy when someone loves something I’ve picked out for them. I love turning people on to new things, new brands or products they didn’t know about before that now they love.
I was able to write on two episodes of television before officially becoming a writer just after COVID. I was able to continue to learn from and work with more department heads and more talent. I was able to expand not only my sewing skills, but my design skills and my communication. It was a wonderful opportunity to work 3 seasons on a show, and even to shadow a director before it was over. When the strike happened, I spent some time working in the store for one of my favorite brands. I got a chance to see things again from the inside. And when I joined the picket line with SAG, I got a chance to build relationships with my fellow writers and a plethora of talented actors.
Since the strike, I haven’t had a writing job, though that doesn’t mean I am not writing. (We always are). When the fires in LA happened, I was one of undoubtedly many people who knew a group of friends who’d lost their homes. I have had to start my life over more times than I care to admit. I immediately felt that understanding of what these people, these friends of mine would be going through and I jumped in to help. I drove and still am driving all over LA to go to free shops or pickups for care packages to help my friends. My garage is bursting at the seams because I have obtained as many resources as were available - while they were. Because I know that won’t last. But I want to. I want to be a lasting source of help for these people and others.
As we all know, the entertainment industry is in turmoil, like many others. I hope to have the opportunity to write again and I will always hope to achieve my dream of directing, because that is what started me on this journey. But whatever ends up happening with my career, it means something to me to help people in this way as well and I intend to continue this journey no matter what. Clothing provides you a sense of self, a feeling of dignity and personhood. Clothing helps people understand who you are and how you see yourself. Clothing is its own kind of art form and it’s protection when you need it. It allows you to feel safe and secure. I look forward to joining you on your own journey with wardrobe and fashion.
